Maxthon in Linux

One of the most answered questions by Maxthon support has to be whether Maxthon can be used in Linux, or does Maxthon have a version for Linux. Officially Maxthon works only in Windows since Maxthon uses Internet Explorer’s rendering engine. Yet the speculation is that Maxthon can some how work in Linux with the use of Wine with some tweaks, though we haven’t tried.

Recently a Maxthon user has successfully installed Maxthon 2.1.0 in Ubuntu 8.04 and shared his experience in our Forum. Maxthon seems to work fine from the preliminary usage.
